Hey!
I’m Cat. And this is my blog. (Welcome!) I like to write about traveling, mom-ing, crafting, cooking, Jesus, politics, DIY projects, education, and saving money–really just about anything.
This is my husband, Wes (aka The Beard or The Beard Light).
We’ve been married for fourteen years and have spent a good chunk of that time in Georgia.
But for three years (2011-14), we lived on a tiny little island in the South Pacific called Ta’u, where I taught 2nd grade for one year and high school English for two. Much of this blog is a chronicle of our time there, and of the travels we were able to do while we were on that side of the world. (You can find Wes’ blog here.)
Now, we’re doing a different kind of traveling in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. After a decade of DINK (dual income no kids) living, we decided to embark on the greatest! adventure! of our lives: parenting. In 2015, we had a baby. We liked that experience so much we decided to do it again in 2017. The Beard is now teaching high school physics and I am a never-at-home mom/ Tinkergarten leader/ writer/ cloth diaper laundry folder. I hope you will join us in our adventures!
