I’m Cat. And this is my blog. (Welcome!) I like to write about traveling, crafting, cooking, Jesus, politics, DIY projects, education, and saving money–really just about anything.

Cat Q.

This is my husband, Wes (aka The Beard or The Beard Light).

The Beard, Tongariro Alpine Crossing

We’ve been married for ten years and have spent a good chunk of that time in Georgia.

But for three years (2011-14), we lived on a tiny little island in the South Pacific called Ta’u, where I taught elementary for one year and high school English for two. Much of this blog is a chronicle of our time there, and of the travels we were able to do while we were on that side of the world. (You can find Wes’ blog here.)

Level 2

Now, I’m doing a different kind of traveling in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. We’re in the midst of renovating our home, changing careers, and preparing for the greatest! adventure! of our lives. I hope you’ll join us!
